Jay-Z has bought Billionaire Boys Club from Pharrell.

Jay-Z founded Rocawear, a hip-hop inspired clothing line that blew up on the same scale as his career in the late 90s and 2000s. And with Watch The Throne dropping tomorrow, Sean Carter has made more news with the announcement that he has bought the Billionaire Boys Club clothing line from it’s brainchild, producer/rapper extraordinaire Pharrell. With Rocawear now owning the license to manufacture and distribute BBC clothes, sources have confirmed that Jay and Pharrell will work together to see the line grow- Jigga Man using his business prowess and Pharrell using his creative genius. Hova gives the streetwear line a huge financial re-vamp that lots of other brands simply can’t match- it should be interesting to see where the company goes from here. And for those concerned about seeing the prestigious BBC in department stores like Marshall’s, TJ Maxx, and JC Penney’s just because its under the Roc umbrella, the two business moguls have made it clear that this will not be the case. A good business deal on both ends, I’d say.

The Long Beach brand Rastaclat has launched a new BTS line featuring 9 different colors and styles with a gold tube enclosure that grabs attention. It’s a fresh look that is catching on nation-wide; good product, good results.

The whole presentation- the outfits, the piercings, the tattoos, and the music itself oozes swagger- one could only chalk it up as her being a product of her environment. What type of 21 year old girl raps? And what type of 21 year old girl raps about Swisher blunts and Adderalls?
With accolades from Lil’ B, Soulja Boy and most notably Odd Future, it’s obvious that she has been around the block. As a Berkley Film School dropout, she obviously learned something about building hype and visual enticement- she even produced the Lil’ B ‘Like A Martian’ video. She’s been heralded by Drizzy Drake himself and even the Red Hot Chili Peppers have come calling looking for her directional leadership for one of their videos. Think what you want about the styled-up ditzy looking hypebeast, but she knows how to draw a following.

The Swedish-based lifestyle brand WeSC and the RZA are hooking up to release new headphone brand Chambers, in two different designs: one for producers/DJs, the other for Street Wear advocates. The headphones are laced with LEDs that pulse to the beat of the music. Dropping August 24th.

The RockSmith brand took the liberty of honoring Wu-Tang with this year’s summer lineup of t-shirts and tanks, and they couldn’t have done any better. The lookbook above features hip-hop well knowns Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller, Machine Gun Kelly, Stalley, Fonzworth Bentley, and the LEP Bogus Boys. Peace Gawd, I’ve got my eyes set on one of those Method Man tees or the RZA Bobby Digital shirt.
